"He settled on government land near Terre Haute, Indiana, when that country was little more than wilderness...On February 8, 1838 Almira Wilber was united in marriage to Franklin Waddel, and they moved to his claim near Bowling Green, Indiana."--P. [1]. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Indiana, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Illinois, Colorado, Oregon, Idaho, California and elsewhere.

James Ponder (d.1703) immigrated from England to Queen Anne's County, Maryland in 1674, and married Mary Shepherd. Descendants lived in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Kentucky, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee and elsewhere. Includes other Ponder immigrants, without tracing a relationship.
