Women in STEM in Higher Education
This open access book addresses challenges related to women in STEM in higher education, presenting research, experiences, studies, and good practices associated with the engagement, access, and retention of women in the STEM disciplines. It also discusses strategies implemented by universities and policymakers to reduce the existing gender gap in these areas. The chapters provide an overview of implementations in different regions of the world and provide numerous examples that can be transferred to other higher education institutions.
Advances in Microlocal and Time-Frequency Analysis

The event was organized in honor of Professor Luigi Rodino on the occasion of his 70th birthday. Wavelet Methods for Elliptic Partial Differential Equations
The origins of wavelets go back to the beginning of the last century and wavelet methods are by now a well-known tool in image processing (jpeg2000). These functions have, however, been used successfully in other areas, such as elliptic partial differential equations, which can be used to model many processes in science and engineering. This book, based on the author's course and accessible to those with basic knowledge of analysis and numerical mathematics, gives an introduction to wavelet methods in general and then describes their application for the numerical solution of elliptic partial differential equations. Recently developed adaptive methods are also covered and each scheme is complemented with numerical results, exercises, and corresponding software tools.

Science Education in Countries Along the Belt & Road
This book aims to highlight science education in countries along the Belt and Road. It consists of 30 chapters divided into three main parts, namely Arab and African countries, Asian countries and European countries,. We invited science education experts from 29 “Belt and Road” countries to introduce the current status of science education in their countries and the new requirements with the rapid evolution of Information Technology. The major contributions of this book include: 1) Provide the current status of science education in countries along the Belt and Road as well as the requirement for developing and improving science education in these countries; 2) Discuss new insights of science education in future years; 3) Inspire stakeholders to take effective initiatives to develop science education in countries along the Belt and Road.
Pseudo-Differential Operators and Related Topics
This volume contains articles based on lectures given at the International Conference on Pseudo-differential Operators and Related Topics at Vaxjo University in Sweden from June 22 to June 25, 2005. International ISAAC (International Society for Analysis, its Applications and Computation) Congresses have been held every second year since 1997. The proceedings report on a regular basis on the progresses of the field in recent years, where the most active areas in analysis, its applications and computation are covered. Plenary lectures also highlight recent results. This volume concentrates mainly on partial differential equations, but also includes function spaces, operator theory, integral transforms and equations, potential theory, complex analysis and generalizations, stochastic analysis, inverse problems, homogenization, continuum mechanics, mathematical biology and medicine. With over 350 participants attending the congress, the book comprises 140 papers from 211 authors. The volume also serves for transferring personal information about the ISAAC and its members. This volume includes citations for O. Besov, V. Burenkov and R.P. Gilbert on the occasion of their anniversaries.
