The Practice of Enterprise Modeling
This book constitutes the proceedings papers of the 14th IFIP Working Conference on the Practice of Enterprise Modeling, held in Riga, Latvia, during November 24-26, 2021. PoEM offers a forum for sharing experiences and knowledge between the academic community and practitioners from industry and the public sector. This year the theme of the conference is the use of enterprise modeling and enterprise architecture towards ensuring sustainability and resilience of enterprises and societies. The 14 full and 6 short papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from a total of 47 submissions. They were organized in topical sections named: enterprise modeling and enterprise architecture; enterprise modeling methods and method engineering; business process modeling and management; requirements engineering for privacy, security and governance; and case studies and experiences.
Research Challenges in Information Science
The two-volume set LNBIP 547 + LNBIP 548 constitutes the proceedings of the 19th International Conference on Research Challenges in Information Sciences, RCIS 2025, which took place in Seville, Spain, in May 2025. It focused on the special theme: Advancing Information Science and Information Systems Quality in the Era of Complexity. The scope of RCIS is summarized by the thematic areas of information systems and their engineering; user-oriented approaches; data and information management; business process management; domain-specific information systems engineering; data science; information infrastructures, and reflective research and practice. The 33 full papers and 13 short papers included in the proceedings were carefully reviewed and selected from 103 submissions. They were organized in topical sections as follows: Part I: Information systems quality; security, risk and strategy; conceptual modeling and ontologies; modeling methods and requiremments engineering; databases informaiton management; human factors in information systems; business process engineering and management; Part II: Machine-learning and generative AI applications; RCIS Forum; and RCIS Doctoral Consortium.
Object-Oriented Technology. ECOOP '98 Workshop Reader
At the time of writing (mid-October 1998) we can look back at what has been a very successful ECOOP’98. Despite the time of the year – in the middle of what is traditionally regarded as a holiday period – ECOOP'98 was a record breaker in terms of number of participants. Over 700 persons found their way to the campus of the Brussels Free University to participate in a wide range of activities. This 3rd ECOOP workshop reader reports on many of these activities. It contains a careful selection of the input and a cautious summary of the outcome for the numerous discussions that happened during the workshops, demonstrations and posters. As such, this book serves as an excellent snapshot of the state of the art in the field of object oriented programming. About the diversity of the submissions A workshop reader is, by its very nature, quite diverse in the topics covered as well as in the form of its contributions. This reader is not an exception to this rule: as editors we have given the respective organizers much freedom in their choice of presentation because we feel form follows content. This explains the diversity in the types of reports as well as in their lay out.
Research Challenges in Information Science
This book constitutes the proceedings of the 14th International Conference on Research Challenges in Information Sciences, RCIS 2020, held in Limassol, Cyprus, during September 23-25, 2020. The conference was originally scheduled for May 2020, but the organizing committee was forced to postpone the conference due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The scope of RCIS 2020 is summarized by the thematic areas of information systems and their engineering; user-oriented approaches; data and information management; business process management; domain-specific information systems engineering; data science; information infrastructures, and reflective research and practice. The 26 full papers and 3 work in progress papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 106 submissions. They were organized in topical sections named: Data Analytics and Business Intelligence; Digital Enterprise and Technologies; Human Factors in Information Systems; Information Systems Development and Testing; Machine Learning and Text Processing; and Security and Privacy. The volume also contains 12 poster and demo-papers, and 4 Doctoral Consortium papers.

Enterprise Information Systems
This book constitutes extended, revised and selected papers from the 21st International Conference on Enterprise Information Systems, ICEIS 2019, held in Heraklion, Crete, Greece, in May 2019. The 26 papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected for inclusion in this book from a total of 205 submissions. They deal with topics such as data science and databases; ontologies; social networks; knowledge management; software development; human-computer interaction, and multimedia.
Enterprise, Business-Process and Information Systems Modeling
This book contains the refereed proceedings of two long-running events held along with the CAiSE conference relating to the areas of enterprise, business-process and information systems modeling: - the 25th International Conference on Business Process Modeling, Development and Support, BPMDS 2024, and - the 29th International Conference on Exploring Modeling Methods for Systems Analysis and Development, EMMSAD 2024. The conferences were taking place in Limassor, Cyprus, during June 3–4, 2024. For BPMDS 8 full papers and 3 short papers were carefully reviewed and selected for publication from a total of 25 submissions; for EMMSAD 11 full papers and 5 short papers were accepted from a total of 32 submissions after thorough reviews. The BPMDS papers deal with a broad range of theoretical and applications-based research in business process modeling, development and support. EMMSAD focusses on modeling methods for systems analysis and development.
