Advances in Computer Systems Architecture
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 10th Asia-Pacific Computer Systems Architecture Conference, ACSAC 2005, held in Singapore in October 2005. The 65 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 173 submissions. This conference marked the ?rst time that the Asia-Paci?c Computer Systems Architecture Conference was held outside Australasia (i. e. Australia and New Zealand), and was, we hope, the start of what will be a regular event. Aspects of Computation on Asynchronous Parallel Processors
The increasing availability of asynchronous parallel processors has provided opportunities for original and useful work in scientific computing. However, the field of parallel computing is still in a highly volatile state, and researchers display a wide range of opinion about many fundamental questions such as models of parallelism, approaches for detecting and analyzing parallelism of algorithms, and tools that allow software developers and users to make effective use of diverse forms of complex hardware. Approximation Theory
This volume contains the contributions of the International Dortmund Meeting on Approximation Theory (IDoMAT 95) at Haus Bommerholz the conference center of Dortmund University during the week of March 13-17, 1995. At this international conference researchers and specialists from China, England, France, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Romania, U.S.A. and Germany described new developments in the fields of approximation theory. The authors discuss a variety of important ideas, questions and applicable methods in applied sciences and in several fields of approximation theory which lead to new challenges to the approximation by means of linear operators and shape preserving approximation, methods for the study of differential (diffusion) equations, approximation results of solutions of specific hyperbolic differential equations, polynomial and spline interpolation, density problems in multivariate approximation, orthogonal polynomials and wavelets.
