Hugh Mosher (d.1713), son of Ezekiel Mosher, married Lydia Maxon and immigrated from Manchester, England to Rhode Island in the 17th century. James Mosher, direct descendant of Hugh in the fourth generation, married Lydia Allen and immigrated to Newport Landing, Nova Scotia in 1760. Descendants lived in Nova Scotia, Québec, Ontario and elsewhere. Some descendants immigrated to New England, New York and elsewhere in the United States.
