Polk family and kinsmen
Robert Bruce Pollok (Polk) was probably born near Londonderry, Donegal, Ireland, and married Magdalen Tasker. They immigrated about 1672 to Maryland, and he died there in 1703/04. His will was probated at Annapolis, Anne Arundel, Maryland. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Maryland, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Kansas.
