William Beckham (b.ca. 1620) immigrated about 1640 from England to Orange County, Virginia, married Tabetha Randolph in 1650, and moved later to Essex County, Virginia. Descendants lived in Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma and elsewhere.

John Loving (1705-1785/6) lived in Nelson County (formerly Amherst and Albermarle Counties), Virginia. He had three children, Keziah, John, Jr., and William. Keziah married William Hansbrough, John married Naomi (Amy) Seay and William married Elizabeth Beverly Hargrove. Descendants scattered throughout the United States.
Mercer (Messer) Norton (ca. 1750-ca. 1800) moved from Fairfax (later Loudon) County, Virginia to Randolph County, North Carolina, married Martha Higgins, moving in 1790 to Burke County, North Carolina, and later to Wayne County, Kentucky. Descendants lived in North Carolina, Kentucky, Alabama, Arkansas, Texas, Arizona, Utah, California and elsewhere.
