Masked Possession

A MAN WHO CAN WEAR ANY FACE Caro Yeats doesn’t run from much. As a former investigative reporter now working PR for Toronto’s supernaturals, what she hasn’t seen mostly isn’t worth seeing. But the assignment to “rebrand” Eric Kelton’s out-of-control alter egos has her on edge from the start. Kelton is the heirarch of the Masquerada, beings able to change their face—their entire persona—on a whim. Eric’s charisma muddles her instincts. How can she trust a man who can become anybody? A WOMAN WITHOUT A PASTEric has never met anyone like Caro, with her lightning wit and uncanny insight. But desirable as she is, he’d be a fool to let her near. Struggling to hide the sudden loss of his powers, Eric can’t risk becoming entangled with a woman who scorns her supernatural side and claims not to play politics. The enemies on her trail are strong, clever, and vicious. And when they force Eric and Caro together, the fallout could shatter far more than two hearts . . .

While on a Cruise starts with the very moment when the author begins her journey as a writer and finishes with the completion of this as her sixth book. In between these moments are engaging and thought-provoking stories that examine how situations, environments, and relationships shape people and how a person’s attitude and character ultimately shape what they get out of life. Some of the stories in this collection are based on or inspired by the author’s family tales, childhood memories, and her personal experiences. Others, from the fictional tale of young girls in a Catholic school in Lisbon, to a brother supporting a hypochondriac sister in Montreal, to a married couple in a seniors’ home learning to look forward instead of back, introduce multilayered characters struggling to live the best way they know how and reveal the fascinating stories of everyday people.

Puppet Boy

A school in turmoil over its senior play, a sly career as a teenage gigolo, an unpredictable girlfriend with damage of her own, and a dangerous housebreaker tied up downstairs. Any of these would make a great plot for budding filmmaker Eric?s first movie. Unfortunately, they?re his real life. When Julien, a handsome wannabe actor, transfers to Eric?s class, he?s a distraction, a rival, and one complication too many. Yet Eric can?t stop thinking about him. Helped by Eric?s girlfriend, Mary, they embark on a project that dangerously crosses the line between filmmaking and reality. As the boys become close, Eric soon wants to cross other lines entirely. Does Julien feel the same way, or is Eric being used on the gleefully twisted path to fame?
