PD-1 axis inhibitors are a group of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) that block the PD-1/PD-L1 interaction to reinstate immune recognition. The tumor microenvironment (TME) is complex and ever-changing and can affect response to anticancer therapies, including PD-1 axis inhibitors. Despite the established efficacy of PD-1 axis inhibitors, not all patients respond to treatment, and some will develop resistance. Therefore, it is essential to understand the factors that contribute to primary or secondary treatment resistance to develop new approaches and ultimately improve patient outcomes. This Research Topic aims to explore different aspects of the TME that contribute to response/resistanc...
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 4th International Congress on Blockchain and Applications 2022, BLOCKCHAIN’22, held in L’Aquila, Italy, in July 2022. Among the scientific community, blockchain and artificial intelligence are a promising combination that will transform the production and manufacturing industry, media, finance, insurance, e-government, etc. Nevertheless, there is no consensus with schemes or best practices that would specify how blockchain and artificial intelligence should be used together. The 37 full papers presented in the main track were carefully reviewed and selected from more than 75 submissions. They contain the latest advances on blockchain and artificial intelligence and on their application domains, exploring innovative ideas, guidelines, theories, models, technologies, and tools and identifying critical issues and challenges that researchers and practitioners must deal with in the future research. The book also includes 3 papers from the WEB3-TRUST workshop and 2 papers from the Doctoral Consortium.
The three volume set LNCS 13554, 13555, 13556 constitutes the proceedings of the 27th European Symposium on Research in Computer Security, ESORICS 2022, which took place in September 2022. The conference took place in Copenhagen, Denmark, in a hybrid mode. The 104 full papers and 6 poster papers presented in these proceedings were carefully reviewed and selected from 562 submissions. They were organized in topical sections as follows: Part I: Blockchain security; privacy; crypto; attacks; sidechannels; Part II: Anonymity; cloud security; access control; authentication; digital signatures; IoT security; applications; Part III: Formal analysis; Web security; hardware security; multiparty computation; ML techniques; cyber-physical systems security; network and software security; posters.
