The book case studies all developing nations with missile programmes. For this purpose, India, China and Pakistan form the core while the rest of the nations are nationally perceived as a Middle Ring (West Asia, Afghanistan and Taiwan) and an Outer Ring (the Koreas, Africa and Latin America). The study shows that missiles are dual weapons political weapons as WMD or war-fighting ones as, for example, in the Iran-Iraq War or in Afghanistan. The missile with the conventional warhead is far from extinction and plays an important role in the context of limited war.
