Sustainable Smart Cities and Territories
This book constitutes the proceedings of this year’s Sustainable Smart Cities and Territories International Conference (SSCt 2021), held in Doha, Qatar, from the 27th to the 29th of April 2021. The SSCt 2021 is an open symposium that brings together researchers and developers from academia and industry to present and discuss the latest scientific and technical advances in the fields of Smart Cities and Smart Territories. It promotes an environment for discussion on how techniques, methods, and tools help system designers accomplish the transition from the current cities towards those we need in a changing world. The program includes keynote abstracts, a main technical track, two workshops, and a doctoral consortium. The symposium is organized by the Texas A&M University at Qatar. A History of Catalan Folk Literature
A History of Catalan Folk Literature is the fruit of a collaborative effort between fifteen researchers from various universities and research centres who have joined forces to create a broader study of Catalan folk literature that addresses the Catalan linguistic and cultural territories in their entirety. Since the thirteenth century, Catalan culture has created a rich and abundant literary legacy, and since the mid-nineteenth century this has been complemented by a tradition of folklore studies that remains very much alive today. Within this comparatively recent discipline, folk literature has played a particularly important role. The book presents the evolution of Catalan folk literature studies in each of the areas that make up the Catalan linguistic and cultural territories referred to above. The period considered stretches from the mid-nineteenth century, when the beginnings of a scientific interest in folklore emerged across Europe, to the present day.

Iberia and the Mediterranean World of the Middle Ages, Volume I: Proceedings from Kalamazoo
Eighteen studies, many based on archival evidence or new methodologies, some proceeding from novel angles, explore the history and culture of Iberia, Italy, and the Mediterranean World in the Middle Ages. The studies were originally presented at the 27th International Congress of Medieval Studies at Kalamazoo in 1992, and have been collected in honor of Robert I. Burns, S.J., the distinguished medievalist and historian of Mediterranean Spain. Most of the studies mirror the honoree's scholarly interests: Muslim-Christian-Jewish relations in medieval Iberia, the economy and society of the Mediterranean World, religious polemic and ecclesiastical history, and medieval personalities and institutions. Ten of the studies concern aspects of cultural symbiosis or inter-religious relations in a pluri-ethnic society; and at least an equal number relate to the literary and social history of the Catalan-speaking lands of Mediterranean Spain.
