The Callaghan Septology VI: The Hourglass Running out of Sand

When Callaghan regains consciousness and discovers that he has been abandoned in the Sahara next to two corpses, he despairs about how to make it back to London without money or a phone. His greatest worry, though, is the loss of the ciclosporin pills that he must take regularly to prevent rejection of the transplants he has been subject to. He eventually makes it to the Mediterranean Sea, where his only alternative to return to Europe is to risk a precarious journey that will take him and several hundreds of hopeful, illegal African emigrants to Italy. The term Old Settlers refers to the group of mixed race people that came to MI in the late 1800's and settled in the newly opened land in the Mecosta, Isabella and Montcalm counties. The title is well known through out the area and most know it refers to that group and anyone who descended from them. Volume two covers the original Old Settlers that came whose last names begin with D-R and follows each one of their descendants through every generation down to the current living generations. It includes photographs, family stories, articles and obituaries. They were an amazing group who settled the land, cleared it, farmed it, built homes, schools, churches, roads, married each other and raised families. There are many historical sites and monuments still there that are overseen by their descendants. Our history is kept alive by thousands of descendants and hundreds who work on genealogy and share their knowledge.

Frat Girl

Sometimes the F–word can have more than one meaning... Cassandra Davis has one shot at a scholarship to continue at the university of her dreams. She's never been one to back down from a challenge, so it's go big or go home when she pitches her research project: pledge Delta Tau Chi and provide proof of their misogynistic behaviour. The brothers are already on probation and on the verge of being banned from campus, so exposing them should be a piece of cake. For Cassie, the F–Word is fraternity – she knows exactly what to expect in the DTC house. For the DTC brothers, the F–Word is feminist – the type of girl who hates them to the core and is determined to make them lose their home. But when Cassie and the boys get together, each with their own agenda, they're all in for a shock. The boys never thought a girl could be their newest brother, and Cassie's fellow pledge Jordan Louis is definitely not the tank–top–wearing bro she thought she'd find. With her heart and her future tangled in a web of her own making, Cassie is forced to realise that the F–word might not be as simple as she thought after all.
