William Corry and His Descendants
Descendants of William Corry (b. 1715) came with his wife Margaret and their children from Ireland to South Carolina in 1767.
Cousins
Jacob Simmons (d.1788) immigrated from Germany to York County, Pennsyl vania, and married twice. One of his sons was Christian Simmons (1776-1822), who married widow Catherine (Emmons) Amend in Botetourt County, Virginia and settled in Stanley Valley, Tennessee. Descendants lived in Virginia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Florida, Texas, California and elsewhere.
