Davis Stockton (ca. 1686-1760) was perhaps born in England, Ireland, or New York. He and his wife, Sarah, were probably married in Chesterfield Township, New Jersey, where their children are belived to have been born. They had at least seven children, ca. 1708- ca. 1724. The family migrated to Pennsylvania, then Virginia. Davis and Sarah Stockton are probably buried near their home on Ivy Creek, in Ablermarle County, Virginia. Descendants listed lived in Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, and elsewhere.
