Inclusive Radio Communication Networks for 5G and Beyond is based on the COST IRACON project that consists of 500 researchers from academia and industry, with 120 institutions from Europe, US and the Far East involved. The book presents state-of-the-art design and analysis methods for 5G (and beyond) radio communication networks, along with key challenges and issues related to the development of 5G networks. Covers the latest research on 5G networks – including propagation, localization, IoT and radio channels Based on the International COST research project, IRACON, with 120 institutions and 500 researchers from Europe, US and the Far East involved Provides coverage of IoT protocols, architectures and applications, along with IoT applications in healthcare Contains a concluding chapter on future trends in mobile communications and networking
Pervasive Mobile and Ambient Wireless Communications reports the findings of COST 2100, a project of the European intergovernmental COST framework addressing various topics currently emerging in mobile and wireless communications. Drawing on experience developed in this and earlier COST projects, the text represents the final outcome of collaborative work involving more than 500 researchers in 140 institutions and 30 countries (including outside Europe). The book’s subject matter includes: transmission techniques; signal processing; radio channel modelling and measurement; radio network issues; and recent paradigms including ultra-wideband, cooperative, vehicle-to-vehicle and body communications. The research reported comes from a variety of backgrounds: academic, equipment-manufacturing and operational and the information contained in this book will bring the study reported to a wider audience from all those spheres of work. Pervasive Mobile and Ambient Wireless Communications will be of interest to researchers for its cutting-edge analysis and to practitioners for its functional usability.
This book constitutes the proceedings of the 18th International Conference on Information Technologies and Mathematical Modelling, ITMM 2019, named after A.F. Terpugov, held in Saratov, Russia, in June 2019. The 25 full papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 72 submissions. The conference covers various aspects of information technologies, focusing on queueing theory, stochastic processes, Markov processes, renewal theory, network performance equation and network protocols.
The field of personal indoor and mobile radio is a fast developing field. The rapidity of development of compact miniaturized circuity and adequate power units for portability are fueling this wireless applications explosion. The awarding of spectrum licenses throughout the world has impact on design decisions that are reported here and will have long ranging effects on the future developments.
