This multi-volume set, LNAI 16013 to LNAI 16022, constitutes the refereed proceedings of the European Conference on Machine Learning and Knowledge Discovery in Databases, ECML PKDD 2025, held in Porto, Portugal, September 15–19, 2025. !-- [if !supportLineBreakNewLine]-- !--[endif]-- The 300 full papers presented here, together with 15 demo papers, were carefully reviewed and selected from 1253 submissions. The papers presented in these proceedings are from the following three conference tracks: The Research Track in Volume LNAI 16013-16020 refers about Anomaly & Outlier Detection, Bias & Fairness, Causality, Clustering, Data Challenges, Diffusion Models, Ensemble Learning, Graph Neural Net...
This two-volume set LNCS 15718-15719 constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 22nd European Semantic Web Conference, ESWC 2025, held in Portoroz, Slovenia, during June 1–5, 2025. The 45 full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 155 submissions. The ESWC’s Research track addresses the theoretical, analytical, and empirical aspects of the semantic web, semantic technologies, knowledge graphs and semantics on the Web in general. The In-use track focuses on contributions that reuse and apply state-of-the-art semantic technologies or resources to real-world settings. The resource track deals with resource contributions that are, on the one hand innovative or novel, and on the other hand sharable and reusable (e.g. datasets, knowledge graphs, ontologies, workflows, benchmarks, frameworks), and provide the necessary scaffolding to support the generation of scientific work and advance the state of the art.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 22nd International Conference on Knowledge Engineering and Knowledge Management, EKAW 2020, held in Bolzano, Italy, in September 2020. The 12 full papers presented together with 7 were carefully reviewed and selected from 104 submissions. The special theme of EKAW 2020 is „Ethical and Trustworthy Knowledge Engineering". The papers cover all aspects of eliciting, acquiring, discovering, modeling, and managing knowledge and construction of knowledge-intensive systems.
This book constitutes the proceedings of the 26th International Conference on Conceptual Structures, ICCS 2021, held virtually in September 2021. The 12 full papers and 4 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 25 submissions. The papers focus on the representation of and reasoning with conceptual structures in a variety of contexts. The papers are organized in the following topical sections: applications of conceptual structures; theory on conceptual structures, and mining conceptual structures.
About half a century ago, AI pioneers like Marvin Minsky embarked on the ambitious project of emulating how the human mind encodes and decodes meaning. While today we have a better understanding of the brain thanks to neuroscience, we are still far from unlocking the secrets of the mind, especially when it comes to language, the prime example of human intelligence. “Understanding natural language understanding”, i.e., understanding how the mind encodes and decodes meaning through language, is a significant milestone in our journey towards creating machines that genuinely comprehend human language. Large language models (LLMs) such as GPT-4 have astounded us with their ability to generate...
This book constitutes the proceedings of the 21st International Semantic Web Conference, ISWC 2022, which took place in October 2022 in a virtual mode. The 48 full papers presented in this volume were thoroughly reviewed and selected from 239 submissions. They deal with the latest advances in fundamental research, innovative technology, and applications of the Semantic Web, linked data, knowledge graphs, and knowledge processing on the Web. Papers are organized in a research track, resources and in-use track. The research track details theoretical, analytical and empirical aspects of the Semantic Web and its intersection with other disciplines. The resources track promotes the sharing of res...
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 24th International Conference on Knowledge Engineering and Knowledge Management, EKAW 2024, held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, during November 26–28, 2024. The 28 full papers presented together were carefully reviewed and selected from 115 submissions. They focus on all aspects of knowledge in constructing systems and services for the semantic web, knowledge management, knowledge discovery, information integration, natural language processing, intelligent systems, e-business, e-health, humanities, cultural heritage, and beyond.
The field of semantic computing is highly diverse, linking areas such as artificial intelligence, data science, knowledge discovery and management, big data analytics, e-commerce, enterprise search, technical documentation, document management, business intelligence, and enterprise vocabulary management. As such it forms an essential part of the computing technology that underpins all our lives today. This volume presents the proceedings of SEMANTiCS 2021, the 17th International Conference on Semantic Systems. As a result of the continuing Coronavirus restrictions, SEMANTiCS 2021 was held in a hybrid form in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, from 6 to 9 September 2021. The annual SEMANTiCS confere...
This book constitutes the proceedings of the satellite events held at the XXX Semantic Web Conference, ESWC 2025, held in Portoroz, Slovenia, during June 1–2, 2025. The 31 Posters & Demos papers are presented together with 12 PhD Symposium papers and 7 Industry papers in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 43 Posters& Demo papers, 15 PHD Symsposium papers and 14 Industry papers. The theme of the conference was “Empowering Knowledge through Semantics: From Knowledge Graphs to Neurosemantics”. The satellite events are an important aspect of facilitating the main conference discussion as well as fundamental questions about how we acquire, represent, use, and interact with knowledge and semantics. The satellite events of ESWC 2025 include the poster and demo session, the PhD symposium, the industry track, project networking, and workshops and tutorials.
