A radio transmission is intercepted by the Athena as it passes the fifth planet in the system. The patrol boat Montezuma is dispatched to investigate. A new threat emerges when internal politics and divisions within the colony mount it is discovered that colonists who vanished over the years were not lost to accidents in this untamed world. Love It If We Beat Them

What is power without principle? What are principles without power? It's Spring 1996: Kevin Keegan's Newcastle United are riding high in the Premier League and Tony Blair's New Labour are gathering pace. Hope is in the air and victory seems within reach. Len, a long term traditional Labour left activist, has decided to run as a candidate for local Labour MP, but the arrival of Victoria as front runner throws a spanner in the works. With loyalties tested and tensions reaching fever pitch, the winning team will be decided in an explosive head-to-head challenge. Love It If We Beat Them is a new political drama from writer Rob Ward that explores a time of significant change in the identity of North East communities and perfectly captures a moment in recent history that defines who we are today. A knockout play about Labour, love, and the beautiful game. This edition was published to coincide with the world premiere at Newcastle's Live Theatre, in March 2023.

Devil's Day

In this gothic horror novel, a schoolteacher and his wife must deal with a devilish legend when they travel to his remote rural hometown for a funeral. Every autumn, John Pentecost returns to the farm where he grew up, to help gather the sheep down from the moors for the winter. Each year, the Gaffer would redraw the boundary lines of the village, with pen and paper but also through the remembrance of tales and timeless communal rituals, which keep the sheep safe from the Devil. But as the farmers of the Endlands bury the Gaffer and prepare to gather the sheep, they begin to wonder whether they've let the Devil in after all...
