John Smith was born in about 1755. He married Bridgit Doyle in 1780 in St. John's, Newfoundland. They had three children. He died in about 1814 in East Chezzetcook, Nova Scotia. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Nova Scotia.
Martin Noesen was born 15 May 1803 in Tuntange, Luxembourg. He married Margaret Becker, daughter of Mathias Becker and Catherine Neuhengen, in 1837. They had seven children. They emigrated in 1856 and settled in Wisconsin. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Ole Evenson Oxhøvd and Marit Olsdatter Boldstad immigrated to Wisconsin from their farm in Oystre Slidre, Valdres, Norway on Nov. 7, 1856 with their nine children. They settled in Liberty Township, Manitowoc County. The 1870 census lists them as living in the town of Eaton. Ole and Marit had one more daughter in 1862. Marit died in 1876. Ole remarried in 1880 to Astrid Aubol in the town of Rockland. Ole died in 1894. He and Marit are buried in West Valders Cemetery. Their children are Helleborg, Even, Kari, Ole, Ole, Christen, Marit, Torger and Ragnhild. Ole and Marit's son Even married Marit Snortum. They were the parents of twelve children.
