This book contains peer-reviewed papers presented at the 3rd International Conference on Emerging Electronics & Automation (E2A) 2024. It aims to compile the scientific exchanges that took place during the conference held at NIT Silchar, India. The proceedings highlight the latest scientific advancements and achievements in various emerging fields, including instrumentation, control, signal processing, communication, and related computational techniques. The book seeks to provide a global audience with updates, novel findings, and solutions to pressing challenges in these domains, while also inspiring aspiring scientists to pursue meaningful research. The field of instrumentation spans multiple disciplines, such as electronics, computation, automation, microelectronic technology, nanomaterials, and biomedical engineering applications. As such, this publication is expected to appeal to a diverse audience across the scientific and engineering communities.
Designed for clinicians at every level, this book addresses the origin, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of these disorders in a comprehensive, up-to-date, and compelling manner. Following a comprehensive overview of core principles, the book provides detailed coverage of specific DSM-5 diagnoses: generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, panic disorder and agoraphobia, social anxiety disorder, specific phobia, and trauma- and stressor-related disorders.
Recent trends in Instrumentation and Control (RTIC) is a national conference organized by the Department of Instrumentation Engineering, MIT campus, Anna University Chennai. The 5th national conference RTIC-2019 funded by DST-PURSE was held on 4th and 5th March 2019 with a focal theme of Industrial IoT. The topics for paper presentation were chosen such that the conference is intended to discuss the state-of the-art new research results and perspectives of future developments relevant to Control and Instrumentation. Technical papers were presented in four different sessions for two days and is published as conference proceedings with ISBN number.
This book features proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Artificial Intelligence, Computing Technologies, Internet of Things (IoT), and Data Analytics – AICTA 2024. The theme of the conference is “Artificial Intelligence and its applications.” It focuses on recent trends and innovative approaches in the different domains of Computer Engineering like cloud computing, image processing and computer vision, machine learning,g and deep learning, IoT and analytics, security, etc. The book introduces new ideas in artificial intelligence and its subset technologies like machine learning, deep neural networks, etc. This volume will be useful for researchers and practitioners working in computer engineering and related areas.
This book provides theoretical background and state-of-the-art findings in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity for industry 4.0 and helps in implementing AI-based cybersecurity applications. Machine learning-based security approaches are vulnerable to poison datasets which can be caused by a legitimate defender's misclassification or attackers aiming to evade detection by contaminating the training data set. There also exist gaps between the test environment and the real world. Therefore, it is critical to check the potentials and limitations of AI-based security technologies in terms of metrics such as security, performance, cost, time, and consider how to incorporate them into the real world by addressing the gaps appropriately. This book focuses on state-of-the-art findings from both academia and industry in big data security relevant sciences, technologies, and applications.
Biomedical signals provide unprecedented insight into abnormal or anomalous neurological conditions. The computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) system plays a key role in detecting neurological abnormalities and improving diagnosis and treatment consistency in medicine. This book covers different aspects of biomedical signals-based systems used in the automatic detection/identification of neurological disorders. Several biomedical signals are introduced and analyzed, including electroencephalogram (EEG), electrocardiogram (ECG), heart rate (HR), magnetoencephalogram (MEG), and electromyogram (EMG). It explains the role of the CAD system in processing biomedical signals and the application to neurological disorder diagnosis. The book provides the basics of biomedical signal processing, optimization methods, and machine learning/deep learning techniques used in designing CAD systems for neurological disorders.
Selected, peer reviewed papers from the 2014 International Mechanical Engineering Congress (IMEC 2014), June 13-15, 2014, Tamil Nadu, India
Smart Cities Cybersecurity and Privacy examines the latest research developments and their outcomes for safe, secure, and trusting smart cities residents. Smart cities improve the quality of life of citizens in their energy and water usage, healthcare, environmental impact, transportation needs, and many other critical city services. Recent advances in hardware and software, have fueled the rapid growth and deployment of ubiquitous connectivity between a city's physical and cyber components. This connectivity however also opens up many security vulnerabilities that must be mitigated. Smart Cities Cybersecurity and Privacy helps researchers, engineers, and city planners develop adaptive, robu...
