Jacob Odell was born in about 1737, probably in Dutchess County, New York. He married Mary Millington, daughter of David Millington and Mary Wright, in about 1760. They had nine children. Jacob died 10 October 1823 in Manchester, Vermont. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Vermont, Ontario and Iowa.
