Saha's journey from a small village to the bustling city was marked by hardship and determination. Growing up in a rural setting, he faced numerous challenges, but his resilience and strong will propelled him forward. As he navigated the city's fast-paced environment, Saha encountered many obstacles, yet he persevered, learning to adapt and thrive. Despite the difficulties, Saha's spirit remained unbroken. He found joy in the simple things a warm cup of tea on a chilly morning, a beautiful sunset, or a kind word from a stranger. Saha's mind was wired to focus on the positive, and he cultivated a sense of gratitude for every experience. As he looked back on his journey, Saha realized that his struggles had shaped him into a stronger, more compassionate person. He continued to face each day with a sense of wonder and appreciation, spreading positivity and warmth wherever he went.
This book presents recent advances in dynamics and control of different types of energy systems. It covers research on dynamics and control in energy systems from different aspects, namely, combustion, multiphase flow, nuclear, chemical and thermal. The chapters start from the basic concepts so that this book can be useful even for researchers with very little background in the area. A dedicated chapter provides an overview on the fundamental aspects of the dynamical systems approach. The book will be of use to researchers and professionals alike.
The new frontiers of robotics research foresee future scenarios where artificial agents will leave the laboratory to progressively take part in the activities of our daily life. This will require robots to have very sophisticated perceptual and action skills in many intelligence-demanding applications, with particular reference to the ability to seamlessly interact with humans. It will be crucial for the next generation of robots to understand their human partners and at the same time to be intuitively understood by them. In this context, a deep understanding of human motion is essential for robotics applications, where the ability to detect, represent and recognize human dynamics and the ca...
This book presents a simplified deliberation of fractional calculus, which will appeal not only to beginners, but also to various applied science mathematicians and engineering researchers. The text develops the ideas behind this new field of mathematics, beginning at the most elementary level, before discussing its actual applications in different areas of science and engineering. This book shows that the simple, classical laws based on Newtonian calculus, which work quite well under limiting and idealized conditions, are not of much use in describing the dynamics of actual systems. As such, the application of non-Newtonian, or generalized, calculus in the governing equations, allows the order of differentiation and integration to take on non-integer values.
