This, the second book by Jeremy Dixon on the subject, is a study of those German officers who were promoted to the rank of general and who were also awarded the Knight’s Cross during the period of the fighting in Russia between Hitler’s assault upon the Soviet Union, Operation Barbarossa, and the complete destruction of the German 6th Army at Stalingrad.
