Intelligent Information Processing and Web Mining
This volume contains selected papers, presented at the international conference on Intelligent Information Processing and Web Mining Conference IIS:IIPWM'06, organized in Ustro (Poland), 2006. The submitted papers cover new computing paradigms, among others in biologically motivated methods, advanced data analysis, new machine learning paradigms, natural language processing, new optimization technologies, applied data mining using statistical and non-standard approaches.
Man-Machine Interactions
This volume reflects a number of research streams on the development of computer systems and software that makes it possible to employ them in a variety of human activities ranging from logic studies and artificial intelligence, rule-based control of technological processes, image analysis, expert systems and decision support, to assistance in creative works. In particular, the volume points to a number of new advances in man-machine communication, interaction between visualization and modeling, rough granular computing in human-centric information processing and the discovery of affinities between perceptual granules. The topical subdivisions of this volume include human-computer interactions, decision support, rough fuzzy investigations, advances in classification methodology, pattern analysis and signal processing, computer vision and image analysis, advances in algorithmics, databases and data warehousing, and embedded system applications.

Foundations of Intelligent Systems
This book constitutes the proceedings of the 23rd International Symposium on Foundations of Intelligent Systems, ISMIS 2017, held in Warsaw, Poland, in June 2017. The 56 regular and 15 short papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 118 submissions. The papers include both theoretical and practical aspects of machine learning, data mining methods, deep learning, bioinformatics and health informatics, intelligent information systems, knowledge-based systems, mining temporal, spatial and spatio-temporal data, text and Web mining. In addition, four special sessions were organized; namely, Special Session on Big Data Analytics and Stream Data Mining, Special Session on Granular and Soft Clustering for Data Science, Special Session on Knowledge Discovery with Formal Concept Analysis and Related Formalisms, and Special Session devoted to ISMIS 2017 Data Mining Competition on Trading Based on Recommendations, which was launched as a part of the conference.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 14th International Conference entitled Beyond Databases, Architectures and Structures, BDAS 2018, held in Poznań, Poland, in September 2018, during the IFIP World Computer Congress. It consists of 38 carefully reviewed papers selected from 102 submissions. Haller's Polish Army in France
"The Polish Army in France (Armia Polska Francyi) -- commonly known as Haller's Army (Armia Hallera), in recognition of their commanding general, and the Blue Army, named for their French-issued blue uniforms - was a volunteer army recruited from 47 centers and camp Niagara in the United States and Canada, starting in October 1917 and ending in March 1919. This fighting force was comprised predominantly of Polish nationals living in the United States and Canada who volunteered to fight in France towards the last year of World War I, and to continue fighting in Poland for its independence from all neighboring governments. What started out as part of the Great War to end all wars, ended up as the Polish-Soviet War of 1919-1921"--Page 15.
