Spectral Information Dynamics in Network Neuroscience and Physiology
This book introduces a unified framework that integrates various data-driven information dynamics approaches to quantify node-specific, pairwise, and high-order interactions within complex systems in the contexts of network neuroscience and network physiology. Using measures of information rate, a hierarchical organization of interactions is established to describe the dynamics of individual nodes, connections between pairs, and redundant or synergistic relationships among groups of nodes. Communities and Crisis
Bologna is well known for its powerful university and notariate of the thirteenth century, but the fourteenth-century city is less studied. This work redresses the imbalance in scholarship by examining social and economic life at mid-fourteenth century, particularly during the epidemic of plague, the Black Death of 1348. Arguing against medieval chroniclers' accounts of massive social, political, and religious breakdown, this examination of the immediate experience of the epidemic, based on notarial records--including over a thousand testaments--demonstrates resilience during the crisis. The notarial record reveals the activities and decisions of large numbers of individuals and families in the city and provides a reconstruction of the behavior of clergy, medical practitioners, government and neighborhood officials, and notaries during the epidemic.

New Images from Spain
El 21 de marzo de 1980 se inauguraba en The Solomon R. Guggenheim de Nueva York la muestra colectiva New Images from Spain. Su comisaria, Margit Rowell, había visitado durante los dos años anteriores cerca de un centenar de estudios de jóvenes artistas a lo largo de la geografía española, entre los cuales escogió a una decena para organizar una exposición dedicada a nuestra escena artística. La selección final contaba con obras de Sergi Aguilar, Carmen Calvo, Teresa Gancedo, Antoni Muntadas/Germán Serrán Pagán, Miquel Navarro, Guillermo Pérez Villalta, Jordi Teixidor, Darío Villalba, Zush y José Luis Alexanco (presentes todos ellos en la Colección Josep Suñol), algunos de los cuales habían tenido la oportunidad de exponer previamente en la galería Vandrés de Fernando Vijande, con quien Josep Suñol estableció una de las relaciones entre coleccionismo y galerismo más interesantes del momento.
