Bald schon sah sie die widerwärtigen Leichenzehrer nur noch durch einen bläulichen Schleier. Knochige Finger strichen über ihre Hüften, und gierige Zähne schnitten in ihr zartes Fleisch. Lucy nahm all ihre Hexenkraft zusammen, um den teuflischen Bann abzuschütteln, doch ihre Gedanken prallten gegen einen Eisberg. Hinter ihr, auf einem schmalen Grünstreifen knackte Holz.
