This book comes after years of denial of the idea in my own mind despite nudge, suggestions and even a persuasive follow up-s to publish a book from a few friends, several readers of my “scribbles” on social media. All of them whom I possibly rarely or never met. I kept on thinking who and why would care to read what some ordinary common man named Sandeep Dandekar wrote ! However, some incidents and experiences during the recent years, as well as partly from my way of thinking, looking at things that with passage of time kept on undergoing ‘re-wiring’, made me look at this totally differently. Now the thing of publishing this book came to me in a very different shape & form that it is possibly, or may be certainly, is my responsibility to let what’s in my mind, what I have learned over the years through various stretches of walks in life, the ups & downs, the triumphs and failures, the revelations, learnings & reflections needs to reach out to those who may want to read and may find contents of this book adding some value to their life. So, this book comes as my humble submission in the feet of God as one small responsibility that He possibly wanted me to fulfil.
Twelve stories. Twelve moments where choice changes everything. From neon streets to misty hills, twelve tales of fate, courage, and consequence. From rain-slick Hong Kong courtrooms to mist-bound mountain bridges, The Frozen Verdict and Other Short Stories journeys through the landscapes of justice, memory, love, and loss. A judge hides a deadly secret behind her verdict. A boy with music in his fingertips stands between his village and an invading army. A young policeman follows the glow of fireflies into the heart of a mystery. Lovers navigate silences deeper than words. Families fracture—and mend—over dinner tables, inheritance, and forgotten promises. Spanning continents and cultures, these tales are rich with atmosphere and alive with moral tension. They explore what happens when the law falters, when the heart insists, and when courage means surrender as often as it means fight. Elegant, suspenseful, and deeply human, this collection invites you to linger in its worlds—long after you’ve turned the final page.
Sustainable development has always been a contested concept and has been extensively debated over the last 30 years with new classifications arising since then. There was a previous push for the radical transformations of the market economy to downscale production and consumption that would increase human well-being and enhance ecological conditions. Because of this conflict, there was a need for a new model that challenges and could be the alternative for the liner economy; this new model is called the circular economy. A circular economy aimed at eliminating waste and the continual use of resources. It gained its ground in the era of disruptive technological advancement and a dynamic globa...

The conference provided a valuable forum for cutting-edge research discussions among pioneering researchers, scientists, industrial engineers, and students from all around the world. Bringing together experts from different countries, the book explores a range of central issues from an international perspective.
Industrial wastewater can contain many toxic pollutants as well as varying concentrations of organic and inorganic matter. These pollutants can be carcinogenic, mutagenic, or hardly biodegradable, which could cause serious human health risks and also affect other aquatic and terrestrial biota as well. Biological treatment techniques for industrial wastewater, including aerobic and anaerobic digestion, are known to be environmentally friendly, clean, and generally superior to other physicochemical techniques. Aerobic and Anaerobic Microbial Treatment of Industrial Wastewater presents the latest information on multiple bioremediation treatment techniques; summarizes the sources, occurrence, and removal of industrial pollutants; and suggests the most appropriate treatment options for different scenarios. Describes the biochemistry of pollutant removal by aerobic and anaerobic digestion. Highlights emerging pollutants as well as resource recovery techniques from contaminated industrial wastewater. Emphasizes the role of both conventional and innovative novel technologies in aerobic and anaerobic microbial bioremediation of pollutants originated from industrial wastewater.
