Graph-Theoretic Concepts in Computer Science
This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed postproceedings of the 29th International Workshop on Graph-Theoretic Concepts in Computer Science, WG 2003, held in Elspeet, The Netherlands in June 2003. The 30 revised full papers presented together with 2 invited papers were carefully reviewed, improved, and selected from 78 submissions. The papers present a wealth of new results for various classes of graphs, graph computations, graph algorithms, and graph-theoretical applications in various felds.
A View of Operations Research Applications in Italy, 2018
This book presents expert descriptions of the successful application of operations research in both the private and the public sector, including in logistics, transportation, product design, production planning and scheduling, and areas of social interest. Each chapter is based on fruitful collaboration between researchers and companies, and company representatives are among the co-authors. The book derives from a 2017 call by the Italian Operations Research Society (AIRO) for information from members on their activities in promoting the use of quantitative techniques, and in particular operations research techniques, in society and industry. A booklet based on this call was issued for the annual AIRO conference, but it was felt that some of the content was of such interest that it deserved wider dissemination in more detailed form. This book is the outcome. It equips practitioners with solutions to real-life decision problems, offers researchers examples of the practical application of operations research methods, and provides Master’s and PhD students with suggestions for research development in various fields.

Graph-Theoretic Concepts in Computer Science
This volume gives the proceedings of WG '90, the 16th in a series of workshops. The aim of the workshop series is to contribute to integration in computer science by applying graph-theoretic concepts. The workshops are unusual in that they combine theoretical aspects with practice and applications. The volume is organized into sections on: - Graph algorithms and complexity, - VLSI layout, - Multiprocessor systems and concurrency, - Computational geometry, - Graphs, languages and databases, - Graph grammars. The volume contains revised versions of nearly all the papers presented at the workshop. Several papers take the form of preliminary reports on ongoing research.
Combinatorial Optimization
The C.I.M.E. Summer School at Como in 1986 was the first in that series on the subject of combinatorial optimization. Situated between combinatorics, computer science and operations research, the subject draws on a variety of mathematical methods to deal with problems motivated by real-life applications. Recent research has focussed on the connections to theoretical computer science, in particular to computational complexity and algorithmic issues. Disaster Management and Information Technology
This edited book entertains a multitude of perspectives on crisis information management systems (CIMS)-based disaster response and recovery management. The use of information technology in disaster management has become the central means for collecting, vetting, and distributing information. It also serves as the backbone for coordination and collaboration between response and recovery units as well as resource management tool. This edited volume aims at covering the whole range of application and uses of CIMS in disaster response and recovery. Operations Research and Enterprise Systems
This book includes extended and revised versions of selected papers from the 9th and 10th edition of the International Conference on Operations Research and Enterprise Systems (ICORES 2020 and ICORES 2021). ICORES 2020 was held in Valletta, Malta from 22 – 24 of February 2020, and ICORES 2021 was held as an online event due to the Covid-19 pandemic, from 4 – 6 of February 2021. The 11 full papers included in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 132 submissions. The ICORES 2020 and 2021 book contains extended and revised version of proceedings papers dealing with operations research and enterprise systems.
