Introduction to Project Management: The word “Project Management” consists of two words “Project” and “Management”. A project: - is basically an unique task. - is designed to attain a specific goal. - requires varieties of resources. - is having time limit. Thus, a project is a unit undertaking, composed of activities involves multiple resources and has managerial emphasis on timely completion of project (ie, timely accomplishment of project) which indicates project has pre-defined budget. In other words, the project is a group of interrelated and inter dependent activities which must be executed in certain order before entire tasks are completed that is carefully planned to achieve a specific objective that requires group of people and resources.
