Peter Beachy (1725-1805) and his family immigrated from Switzerland to Baltimore County, Maryland before 1768, and in 1783 moved to Somerset (then Bedford) County, Pennsylvania. Descendants (many were old Amish, many were Mennonites) lived in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa and elsewhere. Some immigrated to Ontario and else- where in Canada.
Elias A. Yoder (1834-1921)--great grandson of Henry Yoder, and grandson of Yost H. Yoder (one or both were Swiss immigrants)--married three times and lived near Summit Mills, Pennsylvania. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Michigan, Texas and elsewhere. Includes ancestors in Switzerland and in Germany.

Jonas Maust was born 10 December 1830 in Keim, Pennsylvania. He was a descendant of Jacob Maust who immigrated to America from Switzerland 8 October 1737 and settled near the present town of Bernville, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Jonas married Barbara Miller ca. 1857 in Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Moses Miller and Catherine Friday. Jonas and Barbara lived in Pennsylvania and were the parents of thirteen children. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, Indiana, Maryland and elsewhere.
