Application and Theory of Petri Nets and Concurrency
This book constitutes the proceedings of the 39th International Conference on Application and Theory of Petri Nets and Concurrency, PETRI NETS 2018, held in Bratislava, Slovakia, in June 2018. Petri Nets 2017 is co-located with the 19th International Conference on Application of Concurrency to System Design, ACSD 2018. The 15 regular and 8 tool papers, with 1 invited talk presented together in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 33 submissions. The focus of the conference is on following topics: Petri Nets Synthesis; Analysis and Model Checking; Languages; Semantics and Expressiveness; and Tools.
Lectures on Petri Nets I: Basic Models
The two-volume set originates from the Advanced Course on Petri Nets held in Dagstuhl, Germany in September 1996; beyond the lectures given there, additional chapters have been commissioned to give a well-balanced presentation of the state of the art in the area. Together with its companion volume "Lectures on Petri Nets II: Applications" this book is the actual reference for the area and addresses professionals, students, lecturers, and researchers who are - interested in systems design and would like to learn to use Petri nets familiar with subareas of the theory or its applications and wish to view the whole area - interested in learning about recent results presented within a unified framework - planning to apply Petri nets in practical situations - interested in the relationship of Petri nets to other models of concurrent systems.
A Decade of Concurrency
The REX School/Symposium "A Decade of Concurrency - Reflections and Perspectives" was the final event of a ten-year period of cooperation between three Dutch research groups working on the foundations of concurrency. Ever since its inception in 1983, the goal of the project has been to contribute to the cross-fertilization between formal methods from the fields of syntax, semantics, and proof theory, aimed at an improved understanding of the nature of parallel computing. The material presented in this volume was prepared by the lecturers (and their coauthors) after the meeting took place. In total, the volume constitutes a thorough state-of-the-art report of the research activities in concurrency.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 33rd International Conference on Applications and Theory of Petri Nets and Concurrency, PETRI NETS 2012, held in Hamburg, Germany, in June 2012. The 18 regular papers and 3 tool papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 55 submissions. The book also contains 2 invited talks. TAPSOFT '95: Theory and Practice of Software Development
This volume presents the proceedings of the Sixth International Joint Conference on the Theory and Practice of Software Engineering, TAPSOFT '95, held in Aarhus, Denmark in May 1995. TAPSOFT '95 celebrates the 10th anniversary of this conference series started in Berlin in 1985 to bring together theoretical computer scientists and software engineers (researchers and practitioners) with a view to discussing how formal methods can usefully be applied in software development. The volume contains seven invited papers, among them one by Vaugham Pratt on the recently revealed bug in the Pentium chip, and 44 revised full papers selected from a total of 147 submissions. In addition the TAPSOFT '95 proceedings contains 10 tool descriptions.
CONCUR '92
This book contains a selection of research papers describing recent advancesin the theory of concurrent systems and their applications. The papers were all presented at the CONCUR '92 conference, which has emerged as the premiere conference on formal aspects of concurrency. The authors include such prominent researchers as R. Milner, A. Pnueli, N. Lynch, and V.R. Pratt. The results represent advances in the mathematical understanding of the behavior of concurrent systems: topics covered include process algebras, models of true concurrency, compositional verification techniques, temporal logic, verification case studies, models of probabilistic and real-time systems, models of systems with dynamic structure, and algorithms and decidability results for system analysis.
