Transactions on Aspect-Oriented Software Development II
The LNCS Journal Transactions on Aspect-Oriented Software Development is devoted to all facets of aspect-oriented software development (AOSD) techniques in the context of all phases of the software life cycle, from requirements and design to implementation, maintenance and evolution. The focus of the journal is on approaches for systematic identification, modularization, representation and composition of crosscutting concerns, i.e., the aspects and evaluation of such approaches and their impact on improving quality attributes of software systems. This volume, the fourth in the Transactions on Aspect-Oriented Software Development series, presents 5 revised papers together with 2 guest editors' introductions. The papers, which focus on mapping of early aspects across the software lifecycle, and aspects and software evolution, have passed through a careful peer reviewing process, carried out by the journal's Editorial Board and expert referees.

Software Composition
The book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Software Composition, SC 2012, held in Prague, Czech Republic, in May/June 2012, co-located with TOOLS 2012 Federated Conferences. The 12 revised full papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 42 submissions for inclusion in the book. The papers reflect all current research in software composition and are organized in topical sections on software composition in specification languages; context-aware and dynamic composition; composition in software development; and applications of software composition.

REST: From Research to Practice
This volume provides an overview and an understanding of REST (Representational State Transfer). Discussing the constraints of REST the book focuses on REST as a type of web architectural style. The focus is on applying REST beyond Web applications (i.e., in enterprise environments), and in reusing established and well-understood design patterns when doing so. The reader will be able to understand how RESTful systems can be designed and deployed, and what the results are in terms of benefits and challenges encountered in the process. Since REST is relatively new as an approach for designing Web Services, the more advanced part of the book collects a number of challenges to some of the assumptions and constraints of REST, and looks at current research work on how REST can be extended and applied to scenarios that often are considered not to be a good match for REST. This work will help readers to reach a deeper understanding of REST on a practical as well as on an advanced level.
