Small handbill for reading inviting to a series of lectures given in New York. Train was a visionary, gol miner in Australia, journalist, and a land speculator. In 1867 Anthony enlisted Train to the cause of women, and the two of them traversed Kansas, in support of amendments to the Kansas Constitution to remove the words "male" and "white", thus enffranchising both women and blacks.Train would open the meeting and then turn the meeting over to Anthony who would address the crux of the matter.
