Dabei wird auf die Intermedialität des Textes eingegangen, etwa die häufige Nennung von Musikstücken, aber auch auf die Musikalität der Sprache selbst. Dies wird Verbunden mit der filmischen Darstellung Kubricks des Textes. Auch hier werden die klangvolle Sprache und die musikalischen Elemente des Textes übernommen, sodass der Film, wie auch das Buch, eine ganz eigene Form der Rezeption zulassen.
