Andreas Garr (born 1685), son of John and Elizabeth Gar, married Eve Seidelmann in 1711, and emigrated from Bavaria, Germany to Orange County, Virginia in 1732. Descendants (chiefly spelling the surname Garr, with some spelling it Gaar) lived in Virginia, Mississippi, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Texas, and elsewhere.
