Este volumen nace con el objeto de inventariar de la manera más exhaustiva posible el conjunto de textos históricos del siglo XVIII traducidos del francés al español, para comprender las diversas causas de las ‘transferencias’ del saber historiográfico francés de dicho periodo a la sociedad española; en concreto, por qué y gracias a quién se seleccionaron esos libros para que se tradujeran al español, y cómo, cuántos y quiénes en España se interesaron, leyeron, tradujeron o compraron dichos textos. Así mismo, resulta de interés saber qué cultura historiográfica se transmitió a los historiadores españoles de la época y cómo la asimilaron, la rechazaron o la interpretaron.
History of the Anderson Family
John Anderson Kåsa was born in Norway in 1808. He married Kjersti Andersdatter Jöntvedt in 1831 and they had eight children. John also had an illegitimate child born in 1830. John and Kjersti came America in 1853 with most of their family and settled in Wisconsin. Sketches and material on many of their descendants are included. Descendants and relatives live mainly in the northern midwestern states.
