James Henry Edward Mapleton (1845-1929) was born in Titley (near Kington), Herefordshire, England. He married Dorothea Campbell in 1872. They immigrated to Canada in 1890 and lived in Saltcoats, Saskatchewan and later settled in Shillingthorpe (near Calder), Saskatchewan. Descendants and relatives lived chiefly in Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. Includes ancestors in England to the 1500s.
