This is the 16th volume of the proceeding papers from the 32nd International Conference on Nuclear Engineering (ICONE 32). This book covers the topics of Tracks 15 and 16, including contributions on nuclear education and public acceptance and winning papers of the Student Paper Competition. The ICONE, with a history of 35 years, was jointly initiated in 1991 by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME). In 2005, the Chinese Nuclear Society (CNS) became one of the conference organizers. Since then, the conference has been co-hosted by CNS, ASME, and JSME, with each society taking turns to organize the event annually. It stands as the preeminent global forum for nuclear professionals who seek to remain at the forefront of technological advancements and industry developments. The ICONE 32, hosted by CNS, took place from June 22 to 26, 2025, in Weihai, China. Prospects for Schistosomiasis Elimination
Current efforts to limit the ravages of schistosomiasis are pushing the world closer to eliminating a chronic infection that has been associated with human life in the tropics since time immemorial. This notwithstanding, the disease remains a scourge for large populations in sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia, and the main part of this book is made up by papers dealing with its current distribution, discussing ways and means to establish and implement improved control approaches.
