The Family of Squire and Mary Wray Chitwood
Matthias Chetwood (1681-1755) immigrated from England to Cumberland County, Virginia, and married Mary Key before 1725. Descendants (chiefly spelling the surname Chitwood) lived in Virginia, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, California and elsewhere.
