Annotation In the first product of an Advanced Research Workshop held in Cracow, Poland from August to September 2000, criminologists, psychologists, and other professionals cover risk factors, assessment issues, selected legal and management issues, and a conceptual framework for the risk/needs management instrument. The workshop considered the development of a procedure for assessing risk and needs factors for serious antisocial behavior, especially violence, by children and adolescents; that procedure is intended to become the basis of ongoing, international, collaborative research projects.
