PROFUNEDU 2019
The 4th Progressive and Fun Education (The 4th Profunedu) International Conference is a forum for researchers and lecturers within the ALPTK Muhammadiyah College to disseminate their best research results. This conference aims to provide a platform for researchers and academics to share their research findings with others and meet lecturers and researchers from other institutions and to strengthen the collaboration and networking amongs the participants. The 4th Profunedu was held on 6-8 August 2019 in Makassar, Indonesia. It is hoped that this proceeding can help improve the quality of education, especially the quality of education in Indonesia.

The rise of technology and ease of spread of information has facilitated the diaspora of new ideas in the community. The penetration of new ideology and new values challenges the status quo of value and morality in our community. While this can be seen as an opportunity to evolve as a nation, the introduction of radical and separatism brings chaos to the community. This conference is an international forum to disseminate knowledge and research development among researchers, scholars, professionals, and those interested in research interests in Law and Social Sciences and Social Education. This conference was organized by the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. The theme of this fourth conference is "Race, Ethnicity, and Nationalism in Postmodern Society: Opportunities and Challenges".

Pendidikan Karakter Islam
Pendidikan Karakter adalah inti dari Pendidikan Islam yang semula dikenal dengan pendidikan akhlak. Pendidikan ini sudah ada sejak islam didakwahkan oleh Nabi kepada para sahabatnya. Seiring dengan Penyebaran Islam, pendidikan karakter tidak pernah terabaikan karena islam yang disebarkan oleh Nabi adalah Islam dalam arti yang utuh, yakni keutuhan dalam iman, amal saleh, dan akhlak mulia. Buku ini menguraikan secara singkat tentang latar belakang pentingnya pendidikan karakter serta keterkaitan karakter dengan akidah dan syariat Islam. Setelah itu, diuraikan tentang konsep dasar pendidikan karakter dalam Islam dan pola pengembangannya. Selanjutnya, dijelaskan implementasi pendidikan karakter dalam keluarga, sekolah, dan masyarakat. Selain itu, di setiap akhir bab ditambahkan catatan akhir yang diharapkan dapat memberikan penyadaran kepada para pembaca akan arti pentingnya pendidikan karakter. Target buku ini adalah mahasiswa Fakultas Tarbiyah serta mahasiswa Jurusan PKn dan IPS. Tidak hanya itu, buku ini juga menjadi penting bagi praktisi dan pihak-pihak lain yang peduli dengan pendidikan karakter.
ICSSED 2020
The theme of the conference is "Reconstructing Morals, Education, and Social Sciences for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals". This theme was formulated due to several considerations. First, the symptoms of moral decline that have the potential to destroy the nation. Morals guide humanity towards truth and civilization. The phenomenon of the dehumanization process in the industrial era that pushed people to be part of abstract societies tends to ignore humanity. The education process as a humanitarian system is increasingly marginalized, especially during discussions about the industrial revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0. The conference placed six sub-themes for speakers and participants to share ideas, namely: Social Sciences and Laws, History and Cultural Studies, Interdisciplinary Studies, Morals and Humanities, Policy, Politics, and Communication, Education. The committee has received 195 abstracts from prospective speakers. However, there are only 80 abstracts that are eligible to be presented at this conference.

Buku ini bukan hanya sekadar kumpulan kisah hidup para profesor asal Brebes, namun juga menggali lebih dalam pemikiran, ide, dan gagasan mereka untuk memajukan daerah kita tercinta. Melalui karya ini, kami ingin memberikan penghormatan kepada para ilmuwan dan pemikir yang telah mengabdikan hidup mereka untuk kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan, pendidikan, dan masyarakat.
