A genealogy and a history of the ancestors and descendants of Sivert Olsen Eidem born 22 Oct 1831 on the farm Eidem in Selbu, Sør- Trøndelag, Norway the son of Ole Sivertsen Eidem and Anne Jonsdatter, and his wife Marit Torstensdatter Kjelstad born 22 Aug 1831 the daughter of Torsten Ingebriktsen and Ingeborg Tomasdatter. Sivert and Marit were married 4 May 1857 in Selbu, Norway. Sivert died 16 Oct 1880. Marit died 31 May 1891. They had 7 children. Several of them immigrated to the U.S.A. The families live in South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and elsewhere.
