Radiological Imaging of the Kidney
This book, now in its second edition, provides a comprehensive analysis of imaging of the kidneys, upper urinary tract, and ureters, covering the normal anatomy and anatomic variants as well as all renal and urinary system pathologies. The relevant imaging modalities are first discussed, with detailed description of their applications. The entire spectrum of kidney pathologies is then presented in a series of detailed chapters with up-to-date references, high-quality images, informative schemes, and figures showing macroscopic and microscopic surgical and pathologic specimens. Values of Love and Ethical Reflection
This first volume of Husserlian Legacies: Themes for the 21st Century focuses on hitherto underexamined dimensions of Husserl’s philosophical thinking and in particular, values and love. Texts in this series draw from the variety of Husserl’s rich original works; they are selected and arranged with the support of the Husserl Archives, Leuven. The texts are made available in English and are primarily targeted to advanced undergraduates, graduate students, and scholars. This volume helps the reader both to investigate the themes of value and love and to gauge their role in Husserl’s reflections on related topics: his analysis of philosophy, the sciences as vocational tasks, the emotions and the community of love, as well as his personalistic reformulation of the categorical imperative. The texts gathered, edited, and translated in this volume have far-reaching implications, ranging from axiology and individual and social ethics to the philosophy of emotions, action theory, and the philosophy of science.
Husserl on Depiction
The publication of Husserliana XXIII “Phantasie, Bildbewusstsein, Erinnerung” in 1980 and John B. Brough’s translation of it in 2005 increased interest in Edmund Husserl’s philosophy of depiction. This volume is the first comprehensive book collection in English that provides a systematic reading of Husserl’s theory of depictive image consciousness.
