This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-workshop proceedings of the International Workshop on Vision Algorithms held in Corfu, Greece in September 1999 in conjunction with ICCV'99. The 15 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 65 submissions; each paper is complemented by a brief transcription of the discussion that followed its presentation. Also included are two invited contributions and two expert reviews as well as a panel discussion. The volume spans the whole range of algorithms for geometric vision. The authors and volume editors succeeded in providing added value beyond a mere collection of papers and made the volume a state-of-the-art survey of their field.

The Oil & Gas Year, Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos (ENH) and Instituto Nacional de Petróleo (INP) have partnered to create TOGY’s Mozambique 2019 edition to highlight the strategic direction of the country’s oil and gas industry set by the new Natural Gas Master Plan, covering key trends such as investments in gas projects in the Rovuma Basin, as well as the potential of new blocks in the market. The edition includes discussions with Mozambique’s most influential companies and provides in-depth articles to offer insight on the entire value chain of the country’s hydrocarbons industry, from E&P to the midstream, downstream, logistics, banking, consultancy, and engineering and construction sectors, among others. We also provide detailed and exclusive coverage of dynamic developments such as the Coral FLNG project and national efforts to create sustainable energy sources, with projects such as the construction of Great Lakes Africa Energy’s 250-MW gas-fired power plant. This second annual edition of The Oil & Gas Year’s Mozambique series offers unparalleled access to information and insights on Mozambique’s hydrocarbons industry.
This book presents the history and theoretical contributions of Brazilian geography since the late twentieth century and shows how this sphere of knowledge has been organically integrated with social and territorial issues and with social movements. The relationship between the subjects and objects of research in Brazilian geography has been centred on the understanding and transformation of realities marked by injustice and inequality. Against this backdrop, the geography of the country has developed by integrating, relating to, and forming part of those realities as it headed out into the streets. Brazilian geography continues to hold theoretical debate in high regard as a result of the influence of critical theory. This book thus covers the theoretical approaches in Brazilian geography, its different lines of research, and above all its character as manifested in culture and society.
This volume explores the centrality of the natural world in shaping Brazilian literature, cinema, and art from 1900 to the present, portraying the human connection to nature in the most biodiverse country in the world.
