This Special Issue of Crystals contains papers focusing on various properties of conducting ceramics. Multiple aspects of both the research and application of this group of materials have been addressed. Conducting ceramics are the wide group of mostly oxide materials which play crucial roles in various technical applications, especially in the context of the harvesting and storage of energy. Without ion-conducting oxides, such as yttria-stabilized zirconia, doped ceria devices such as solid oxide fuel cells would not exist, not to mention the wide group of other ion conductors which can be applied in batteries or even electrolyzers, besides fuel cells. The works published in this Special Issue tackle experimental results as well as general theoretical trends in the field of ceramic conductors, or electroceramics, as it is often referred to.
Multifunctional Inorganic Nanomaterials for Energy Applications provides deep insight into the role of multifunctional nanomaterials in the field of energy and power generation applications. It mainly focuses on the synthesis, fabrication, design, development, and optimization of novel functional inorganic nanomaterials for energy storage and saving devices. It also covers studies of inorganic electrode materials for supercapacitors, membranes for batteries and fuel cells, and materials for display systems and energy generation. Features: Explores computational and experimental methods of preparing inorganic nanomaterials and their multifunctional applications Includes synthesis and performance analysis of various functional nanomaterials for energy storage and saving applications Reviews current research directions and latest developments in the field of energy materials Discusses importance of computational techniques in designing novel nanomaterials Highlights importance of multifunctional applications of nanomaterials in the energy sector This book is aimed at graduate students and researchers in materials science, electrical engineering, and nanomaterials.
Magnetic Nanoparticles and Polymer Nanocomposites: Fundamentals and Biological, Environmental and Energy Applications focuses on the manufacturing and design of innovative magnetic polymeric nanocomposite materials for a broad range of different applications. These materials have truly outstanding and sustainable properties unlike other composites because they are combined with both organic (polymer matrix) and inorganic (semiconductor nanoparticles) materials to form a sustainable composite material. The book's focus is on magnetic semiconductor and polymer nanocomposites made from bioresorbable and biocompatible polymers, modified with magnetic nanoparticles. This book provides detailed kn...
Twelve short stories and twelve amusing journeys throught time to help Sabrina build a new clock to save magic.
The youngest of five children finds a master key that not only enables him to help in emergencies but gives him the self-confidence he lacks.
Italiano In Diretta is an introductory four-skills text, appropriate for use in a course meeting three days a week, or classes meeting four or five days a week in which significant class time is devoted to interactive work. The text features a communicative language approach, streamlined, "synthetic" grammar presentations, and a strong cultural focus. Student participation is encouraged through short dramatized dialogues and interactive activities. Authentic materials appear in every chapter, bringing present-day Italian culture directly into the classroom. A lively introduction to language and culture, combined with strong emphasis on the four basic skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing, make Italiano In Diretta a solid beginning text with a contemporary flair.
When Sabrina, the teenage witch, finds a leprechaun in her kitchen, a joking remark leaves her in big trouble on Saint Patricks's Day.
