Do rąk czytelników przygotowano potężną publikację zawierającą ponad 20 tekstów. Charakter artykułów jest różny. Niektóre, zawierając elementy wspomnieniowe, mają wartość źródłową. Inne określiłbym mianem „słownikowych”. Są i ważne teksty przyczynkarskie. Owa wielowątkowość została odzwierciedlona w dobrze przemyślanym układzie monografii. W spisie treści poszeregowano artykuły tematycznie: „O PTPN”, „O działalności PTPN”, „Zbiory PTPN”, „PTPN a osobistości”, „Współpraca z innymi instytucjami”, „Varia”. W ten sposób czytelnik zainteresowany daną przestrzenią informacyjną szybko odnajdzie się we właściwym miejscu książki. Wszystkie teksty, co naturalne, łączy mianownik PTPN-u; czasami stojącego wprawdzie bardziej w tle wywodów, ale jednak obecnego. Nawet jeśli niektóre artykuły zasadniczo odnoszą się do problemów innych towarzystw, posiadają tę wartość, że wnoszą cenny element komparatystyki.
