The Practice of Enterprise Modeling
Enterprise modeling (EM) has gained substantial popularity both in the academic community and among practitioners. A variety of EM methods, approaches, and tools are developed and offered on the market. In practice they are used for various p- poses such as business strategy development, process restructuring, as well as business and IT architecture alignment and governance. PoEM 2008, the First IFIP WG 8. 1 Working Conference on The Practice of Ent- prise Modeling, took place in Stockholm, Sweden. It is the first conference aiming to establish a dedicated forum where the use of EM in practice is addressed by bringing together researchers, users, and practitioners. The goals of PoEM 2008 were to - velop a better understanding of the practice of EM, to contribute to improved EM practice, as well as to share knowledge and experiences. The theme of PoEM 2008 was EM in different application contexts, e. g. , software development, including agile development, as well as business development, gove- ance, and change.
Information Systems Development
Information Systems Development: Business Systems and Services: Modeling and Development, is the collected proceedings of the 19th International Conference on Information Systems Development held in Prague, Czech Republic, August 25 - 27, 2010. It follows in the tradition of previous conferences in the series in exploring the connections between industry, research and education. These proceedings represent ongoing reflections within the academic community on established information systems topics and emerging concepts, approaches and ideas. It is hoped that the papers herein contribute towards disseminating research and improving practice.
Perspectives in Business Informatics Research
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 10th International Conference on Perspectives in Business Informatics Research (BIR), held in Riga, Latvia, in October 2011. The 25 full papers accepted for this volume were selected from 68 submissions. In addition, two invited papers presented at the conference are also included. The papers have been organized in topical sessions on business intelligence and performance management, data and processes, ontologies, architectures, stakeholders' perspectives, Web information systems and services, and systems approach.
Business Information Systems Workshops
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the four workshops that were organized in conjunction with the International Conference on Business Information Systems, BIS 2013, which took place in Poznań, Poland, in June 2013. BIS workshops give researchers the opportunity to share their preliminary ideas and first experimental results and to discuss research hypotheses with a highly focused audience. The 25 papers in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 47 submissions and were revised and extended after the event. The two best papers from the doctoral consortium are also included.
